	19. Waterside Access: Waterside access is provided by two 3”x 4” handholes in the front tube sheet near the bottom of the shell, two 3”x 4“ handholes on the bottom centerline, as well as one 3”x 4” handhole or a 12"x 16” manway on top of the centerline. 18. Ceramic Fiber Blanket: Front smokebox and doors are lined with ceramic fiber blanket. 17. Turbulators: Turbulators are standard equipment in the 2-1/2’’O.D. tubes to provide efficiencies of 80% or greater. 16. Galvanized Coated Steel Jacket: A 500 degree Fahrenheit acrylic silicone based paint finish is applied to the 22-gauge phosphate galvanized coated steel jacket. 15. Insulation: Two inch 8-lb. density mineral fiber insulation with an R factor of .27 which reduces heat loss through the jacket and provides jacket support. 14. Rear Davit Arm: Roller-bearing supported davit makes possible a reduced opening space and can be arranged for left or right hand opening. 13. Door Gaskets: Front/rear door gaskets are made of ceramic fiber for long life. 12. Furnace: Furnace for Section I (high pressure boilers) 24’’ diameter (400 sq. ft.) and larger are of a Morison corrugation design. 1. Single Source Responsibility: Apache boiler/burner units are covered by Superior’s warranty, effective for 18 months from shipment or one year from date of start-up. Furnace: Location of large diameter furnace in bottom third of the boiler provides for complete combustion and maximum heat transfer while being in contact with coolest boiler water. 10. Boiler Skid: Structural steel skid-type base, supports and protects burner. 9. Gas Train: Factory-installed gas train is equipped with main gas pressure regulator. Standard gas trains comply with UL requirements and can be modified to meet IRI, FM, NFPA-8501 and other codes. 8. Boiler Junction Box: A control circuit junction box complete with terminal strip is standard on all Apache boilers with a burner mounted, or skid mounted control panel. This junction box and strip allow the easy check-out of individual controls. 7. Burner Control Panel: At your option, the control panel can be burner mounted, skid mounted, or mounted on the side of the boiler for ease of maintenance and access. 6. Air Louvers: Air louvers and linkage settings have been positioned for the optimum ease of monitoring and adjustment. 5. Standard Burner: Standard burners are specifically matched with the pressure vessel for complete, efficient combustion. Burners are available in either gas or oil, or in a combination of gas and oil using either air or pressure atomization of the oil. 4. Burner: Customers have a choice of burner manufacturers to gain the most efficient operation. 3. Studs, Washers and Brass Nuts: Front doors are closed using studs with washers and brass nuts for ease of opening and closing. 2. Davited Doors: Front doors allow total access to the return tubes without interference of baffles or inner doors..

Factory fire test - each packaged boiler burner unit undergoes a complete fire test, including a thorough check of all electrical components and adjustment of the combustion.	All Apache boiler/burner units are manufactured to ASME code requirements; each unit is checked by a registered inspector of the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors.	Demand 3/4” thick tubesheets and 9/l6”minimum tube hole ligament to decrease the possibilities of ligament cracks, warped and overheated tubesheet and better tube holding capabilities.

Segmented rear refractory blocks/bridge formed from 2450o F castable refractory for long life and ease of maintenance or repair.	Davited rear door allows for total fireside access and reduces opening space required for hinged doors - either right or left hand swing.	Apache’s rear door incorporates a single piece poured (2450o F) refractory which is securely anchored to the door shell for long life.

Full front tube sheet access is provided. No electrical, fuel lines or linkage must be disconnected for access. Front smokebox doors lined with ceramic fiber blanket.	Apache’s two-pass construction exposes the rear tube sheet to a more uniform temperature for even expansion with fewer stresses. The elimination of baffles and gaskets helps prevent short circuiting of flue gases.	Full rear tubesheet access is standard by means of the davited, rear doors or through the access plug holes. The access plug is 15” diameter on units 70 BoHP thru 800 BoHP and 19” diameter on 900 BoHP and up.
