17. Ceramic Fiber Blanket:
Front and rear smokebox and doors are lined with space-age ceramic fiber blanket.

16. Tubes:
Efficient, economical 3 pass tube design for optimum efficiency and economical operation.

15. Galvanized Coated Steel Jacket:
A 500 degree Fahrenheit acrylic silicone based paint finish is applied to the 22-gauge phosphate galvanized coated steel jacket.

14. Insulation:
Two inch 8-lb. density mineral fiber insulation with an R factor of .27 which reduces heat loss through the jacket and provides jacket support.

13. Rear Davit Arm:
Roller-bearing supported davit makes possible a reduced opening space and can be arranged for left or right hand opening.

12. Front/Rear Door Gasket:
Front/rear door gaskets are made of ceramic fiber for long life.

11. Furnace:
Furnaces for Section 1 (high pressure boilers) 24’’ diameter and larger are of Morison corrugation design.

Furnace: Location of large diameter furnace in bottom third of the boiler provides for complete combustion and maximum heat transfer while being in contact with coolest/boiler water. 9. Boiler Skid: Structural steel skid-type base supports and protects burner. 8. Gas Train: Factory installed gas train is equipped with main gas pressure regulator. Standard gas trains comply with UL requirements and can be modified to meet IRI, FM and other codes. 7. Boiler Junction Box: Control circuit junction box with terminal strip with skid or burner mounted control panel to permit ease of checkout of individual controls. 6. Burner Control Panel: Burner, skid or boiler mounted for ease of installation and maintenance. 5. Burner: Customers have a choice of burner manufacturers to gain the most efficient operation. Standard burners are specifically matched with the pressure vessel for complete, efficient combustion. Burners are available in either gas or oil, or in a combination of gas and oil using either air or pressure atomization of the oil. 3. Studs, Washers and Brass Nuts: Front and rear doors are closed using studs with washers and brass nuts for ease of opening and closing. 2. Davited Doors: Davited doors allow for total access to the return tubes without interference of baffles or inner doors.

Full front tube sheet access is provided by split/davited doors. No electrical, fuel lines or linkage need be disconnected for access to the fireside. Front smokebox doors are lined with ceramic fiber blanket.	Full rear tubesheet access is standard by means of the davited rear doors or through the 17” diameter access in units 70 BoHP and larger. Available as an option on smaller units.	Demand 3/4” thick tubesheets and 9/l6” minimum tube hole ligament to decrease the possibilities of ligament cracks, warped and overheated tubesheet and better tube holding capabilities.

Segmented rear refractory blocks/bridge formed from 2450o F castable refractory for long life and ease of maintenance or repair..	Davited rear door allows for total fireside access and reduces opening space required for hinged doors - either right or left hand swing. Roller bearing supported davit provides ease of opening and closing..	Mohawk’s rear door incorporates a single piece poured (2450o F) refractory which is securely anchored to the door shell for long life.

All Mohawk boiler/burner units are manufactured to ASME code requirements; each unit is checked by a registered inspector of the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors.	Mohawk’s 3-pass gas travel maintains good gas velocities while maintaining moderate gas side pressure drops, resulting in high gas-to water heat transfer and reduced blower motor loads.	Factory fire test - each packaged boiler burner unit undergoes a complete fire test, including a thorough check of all electrical components and adjustment of the combustion.
