HUTCHINSON, Kan. (May 16, 2025) – Superior Boiler has been awarded a contract to supply critical equipment for a new utility project in the Gulf Coast region. This award, which includes a Shawnee Ds-style watertube boiler and similar size spray-type deaerator, reinforces Superior Boiler’s strong momentum in the utility and energy sectors.
The project continues a robust trend of successful engagements with leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms, solidifying Superior Boiler’s reputation for delivering reliable, efficient and cost-effective solutions.

The Shawnee Ds-style boiler, a patented design from Superior Boiler, offers a compact footprint with significant advantages in capital cost savings, operational efficiency and enhanced performance. The new unit is designed for a 65,000 lb./hr. capacity with a 550-psig design pressure. Paired with a customized deaerator, the package will deliver dependable steam generation and water treatment for the utility’s operations . Superior Boiler’s ability to provide a full line of boiler room solutions – including boilers, deaerators and other auxiliary equipment – ensures customers receive a fully integrated and engineered package tailored to their specific requirements.
